E-way bills should not live in a separate government tab while LR, bilty, and invoices live in TruckBill. We are building e-way bill software that uses the official GSTN/NIC e-way bill APIs—generate, update vehicle, extend, cancel, track validity, and alert your team—linked to the same trip.

Coming soon. The government system already publishes API-based integration and ongoing enhancements. TruckBill’s customer-facing workflow is not live until we confirm it.

Why a dedicated e-way bill resource matters
The official e-way bill system supports API-based integration. NIC continues to publish enhancements to generation, vehicle update, extension, and related services. A regularly updated TruckBill page helps transporters see how those capabilities should sit next to LR, bilty, and GST invoices—even while our own connector is still coming soon.
Until TruckBill’s integration is live, teams still generate and update e-way bills on the authorised GSTN/NIC channels. We will not claim portal replacement or live API calls before release.

Frequently asked questions
Is TruckBill e-way bill software live? Not yet. This page describes the coming-soon workflow: generate, update vehicle, extend, cancel, track validity, alerts, and trip/bilty/invoice linking.
Does the government e-way bill system have APIs? Yes. The official e-way bill system supports API-based integration, and documentation is updated as new enhancements ship. TruckBill plans to use those APIs; our connector is not live today.
Will I still need the e-way bill portal? Authorised GSTN/NIC channels remain the legal system of record. TruckBill is planned as the operations layer that sends and stores e-way data against your trips.
Can e-way bills link to LR and invoices? That is the design: one trip record should carry bilty/LR, GST invoice, and e-way bill number so checkpost data matches billing.
